Uncle Sam is kicking the Chinese out. This sentiment most closely relates to nativism. Followers of nativism are strongly against immigrants and pro (typically white) American citizens. Social Darwinism is also closely related to this concept. In Social Darwinism, culture is a linear progression. People who believe this think that some cultures are more "advanced" as opposed to just "different." The Great Migration refers to the movement of African Americans out of the South c. 1910-1930. Urbanization refers to the growth of cities in the last two centuries. Cities began to grow at the start of the Industrial Revolution, as workers left rural areas to work in factories. But, yeah....this cartoon is totally nativism. You should read/watch Gangs of New York. Daniel Day-Lewis' character is a perfect example of what we're talking about.
