If the rockets of a space ship in outer space (far from all gravity) suddenly lose power and go off, the space ship will gradually slow to a stop. True or False I think its true...right??

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

IT IS FALSE!!! Newton's first law, things in motion stay in motion except acted upon my an external force. Since the gravitational pull of the earth is negligible at that point the space ship will coast at UNIFORM velocity.
