@Ko-Ki do you think you can help me with this question
Why is this tricky? Lose 24 folks five years in a row. It is a subtraction problem.
@tkhunny wouldn't you multiply 5 and 24 I'm confused with a and b
And c
A small town is losing residents at a rate of 24 residents per year. A.) if this pattern continues for 5 years,what would be the number sentence you would use to show the change Not quite sure what it wanted. Original - 24t where t is a value between 0 and 5, inclusive? B) What will be the change in relation to the original population Original - 24(5) C) create another real world situation using the same numbers which is not a town loosing residents. Take $24 dollars from your bank account every year. Seriously, this problem just wants you to make stuff up. Jump right in.
What do you mean by original
@tkhunny
You are thinking far too concretely. Let your mind go a little. It's why you are beign asked to write a "number sentence", so that you will think more abstractly. The problem statement doesn't say the original population. It's just whatever it is. It DOES have to be greater than 120. You tell me why.
