proove that tan (theta)= 1 +2M/m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i am sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm lemme try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i get it.. its a two level problem.. first apply free body diagram analysis to the mass m, since m is in equilibrium.. the net force on it must be zero.. using that u should be able to calculate the tension in the two strings.. can u do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

T_left = T_middle ; vertical T components total = mg ?
