Graphing help please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have been asked by the police department to find three locations the Acute Perps gang is likely to hit in the coming weeks. Because the gang sticks to a triangular pattern, the locations could be a translation, reflection, or rotation of the original triangle. For this step, identify and label three points on the coordinate plane that are a translation of the original triangle. Next, use the coordinates of your translation along with the distance formula to show that the two triangles are congruent by the SSS postulate. You must show all work with the distance formula and each corresponding pair of sides to receive full credit.

Have you ever tried geobra? Its free and really easy to use

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I'm using it now trying to figure out how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@undeadknight26 : If any one ask a question dont know that or ones know more :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just want to know what to do. Like steps, you don't need to do it for me, I can I just don't know how to even start it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What the question want to you ?:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you can under stand it mabey just need a easy formula !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It wants me to translate and sss that triangle in the graph I showed you. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

K ! So wat we should find first ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do we translate the point to the correct spot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like the formula or something

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not think ! Just see and find them with Coordinate you have !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok but how do we know how far away the be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Look we have to line X and Y . Right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So on there you see numbers are _ and + k?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So with that numbers you can :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

really? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

heh ! Yep ! For example : |dw:1380125759851:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A=(x,y)=> A=(2,4) Got it ?:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you I understand now XD
