What is the solution to the open sentence? 3y – 4 = y + 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=7

OpenStudy (plainntall):

To solve try to get the y values on the left side of the equation and the numbers on the other by adding or subtracting both sides of the equation. For instance if you add 4 to both sides you get 3y-4+4=y+10+4
