There are a number of current scientific theories that challenge the viewpoints of some members of society. These include, but are not limited to the Big Bang theory, the theory of evolution and the theory of human-caused global warming. You will now do some quick research on these scientific theories and how they affect society. Select one of the theories above and post your thoughts to the following prompts: Prompt 1: What are the main arguments for the theory? What are the main arguments against the theory?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just need to be pointed in right way how to answer this question

OpenStudy (compassionate):

What part are you having trouble with exactly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

both questions... i dont know what to right...

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Which of the three theories are you most familiar with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait, i have hard time reading and understanding things do we have to write about big bang theory the theory of evolution and theory of human?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Yes, it is saying you can choose any of those three theories, then answer the two questions about them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can we do it about theory of evolution please?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Okay. Now it says: How does it effect SOCIETY. Now, the Theory of evolution is quite hard. Why not choose Human Caused Global warming? That is a good theory and effects humans daily. But, if you want to do Evolution, we can. Yes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lets do evolution

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Alright. So, lets answer the first one: > What are the main arguments for the theory?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not sure what the main arguments for the theory would be

OpenStudy (compassionate):

All species have a common ancestor through similarities in DNA and RNA. Mutations occurred, changing and evolving species. Species within the same time era have more similar DNA than the species predecessors or successor. There is a second type of Evolution called Natural Selection or Darwinism. Survival of the fittest. Animals with favorable traits in their environment survive and breed.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is that the answer for the first one???

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Yes. But write it in your own words. Now the second one: > What are the main arguments against the theory?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Do a quick Google Search or open your textbook then come back and tell me what you think. I'll add my input after you do some independent research.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What are your thoughts on the theory? Do you agree or disagree? Why? Can you help me with this? I got other one undercontrol

OpenStudy (compassionate):

>What are your thoughts on the theory Well, what are they? It's asking for YOUR thoughts. Not mine. Do you think the theory makes sense? Is it logical? Do you understand it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we are going to do it with the big bang theory I agree with the theory because it tells us about the begining of our universe and it shows beyond a reasonable doubt that our universe did in fact have a begining. Can you add some more things too it idk what else to say?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Okay, okay, lets start over. Prompt 1: What are the main arguments for the theory? What are the main arguments against the theory?
