can someone please explain and help me understand this problem? the expression 6s^2 represents the surface area of a cube with edges of length s. a.) what is the cubes surface area when s=6 b.)explain how a cubes surface area changes if you divide s by 2 in the expression 6s^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a.) evaluate 6s^2 for s=6: 6 x (6^2) = 6x36 = 216 b.) every side of the cube loses a square relation to s. basically every face is now only a square root of the original area. the constant 6 remains because the cube still has 6 faces.
