write 9/4 as a decimal. round to three decimal places????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide 9 by 4 you'll get a decimal round it 3 numbers after the decimal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2.25. idk how to do the other part. im confused.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2.25 should be the answer when rounding to the third decimal place you have to look at the number after the .25 hence 3rd decimal place. 9/4=2.2500000000000000 when rounding at wha tever place you look at the number after and if it is bigger than 5 the number you're rounding moves up one so for example if it was 2.2567 then it'd be 2.257

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basically 2.250 should be the answer as it is 3 decimal places and their aren't any more numbers after to round up the 3rd decimal place

OpenStudy (anonymous):

more examples 1.5674 =1.567 2.4569 2.457
