Question

I'm in Algebra II and don't know the easy stuff, only the hard stuff (or so it seems):

FOR EACH FUNCTION DETERMINE IF Y DIRECTLY VARIES WITH X. IF SO FIND THE CONSTANT OF VARIATION AND WRITE THE FUNCTION RULE.

I have only 3 of these problems and i'd like to know HOW to do it, not just the answer so I can do them from now on, thanks!
