OpenStudy (azureilai):

You are on a 5 m high roof and throw a ball upwards at 10 m/s. It lands on the ground below you. a. How long was it in the air? b. What is its final velocity? The answers are suppose to be 2.41s, and -14m/s but I am confused on how to solve the problem to get the answers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1) find the time it takes to reach its max height 2 find the distance to the top height 3) find the total distance by adding the distance to top + distance of roof from ground 4) now take total distance from top(peak) and add variables needed 5) find time variables and add both values together

OpenStudy (azureilai):

Can you tell me the equation to use to find the max height please? I tried to look for it in my formula sheet but I wasn't sure which one to use.

OpenStudy (azureilai):

Nevermind I got it thanks for help.
