Determine whether each pair of triangles is similar.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If similarity exists, write a congruency statement relating to the two triangles. Give a justification for your answer. http://imgur.com/sJUp93I

Use the Pythagorean triples on the bigger triangle and you will find out the congruency of the triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the common factor of the given sides of the bigger triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Notice that a6 and 12 has the common factor of 4. So you divide the given sides to 4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the answers are 3 and 4, then the last side is 5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then you multiply 4 to 5 to get the last side of the bigger triangle. Now, you know that they are similar.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Remember: sides 3, 4 & 5 are for the small triangle and sides 12, 16, & 20 are for the bigger triangle

Im trying to figure out which postulate this goes by.
