can some please help me? what effect does the milk have on the cooling of the coffee? why?

as you are aware that when hot milk is left to cool there forms a thick layer of cream on surface which prevents further cooling of milk below. so when you have milk in your coffee then the layer formed on top reduces the rate of cooling thereby keeping the coffee inside warm for a longer duration.
