OpenStudy (plainntall):

What are you trying to determine? The distance from the end of the shadow and top of the post is the hypotenuse isn't it? The angle of the shadow and the hypotenuse is 15 degrees. If you want to find x what trig fucntion do you use? x is the opposite leg.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You would use sin right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin(15) x 22 ?

OpenStudy (plainntall):

sinx is opposite over hypotenuse so yes, you got it right, what is the numerical answer?

OpenStudy (plainntall):

I meant sine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 5.13

OpenStudy (plainntall):

Okay, I don't know if it is correct, but if you did 22 x sin(15) it should be correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah I did. thank you so much! I'm still warming up to trig
