Hi for an assignment in school. I have to create a 20 questions game. I need 5 descriptions each for the following... Sunspots Solar Prominence Solar Flare. The thing is that each description can only be 3 words or less. I am having problems with that. Can any of you guys helps please? :)(:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64 can you help?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

bright, intense, spectacular dark, colder, mole i got no idea what a prominence is

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if theres more sciency words, you might want to use them. Just think about how you would describe these events in like a 150 or less txt mssge.

OpenStudy (plainntall):

What is a sunspot?

OpenStudy (plainntall):

Is it magnetic?

OpenStudy (plainntall):

Is it cooler than other parts of the photosphere?

OpenStudy (plainntall):

Is that the sort of stuff your instructor is looking for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@plainntall my instructor wants it to be 3 words description. Here is the example my instructor gave me... I am 330,000 times more massive than the Earth. You can only see me during the day. I lose about 4 million tons every second. I make up 99% of the mass in the solar system. About 1 million Earths can fit inside me. So what am I? The sun! But in this case it has to be 3 words. Did that help some?

OpenStudy (plainntall):

Sure so you need 5 clues of only 3 words or less to help people guess the concept. So what is a sunspot? It is a magnetic event It is cooler than the rest of material around it. It is in the photosphere. ? Can you think of more and can you turn them into 3 word clues?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a magnetic event. in the photosphere. \ I know its the dark spots on the sun. They come and go. the temperature within a sunspot is lower than rest of the sun.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64 they have to be scientific. another example my instructor gave me was about the moon you can't say "made of cheese."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@plainntall any help please? This is due asap. I only need 1 more for solar prominence and 2 more for solar flare.
