Has anyone completed the rough draft for the allegory assignment...?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Do you mean Beowulf allegory in 12th grade English (on Connexus Academy of GA) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, the allegory assignment for the Canterbury tales ... It's cool tho, thanks anyway.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I haven't done the Canterbury Tales allegory, but I am sure you can do it! (Include dialog in it)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah that's what I did, since it's based on a character telling their own personal story.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But do you know if the essay is just supposed to be written in MLA format or in the same style that the Canterbury tales were told ? That's what I was confused on..

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

MLA format is for quoting the resources, but in an allegory you aren't quoting any resources you are making up a story to teach people a lesson about being/not being, or having/not having a certain trait or etc.... Do you see what i am saying A regular text format, (this is not a history essay)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so it's okay that I wrote it like a regular essay? The reason I asked was because my teacher said to format our essay in MLA format, but I thought the same thing about not citing sources lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks so much btw

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Anytime! (In fact, you would get points off for MLA format, much more likely than earn positive points))
