you estimate that a tree is 45 ft tall. it is actually 58ft tall. can someone please help me find the percent error in the estimation and round to the nearest percent?

Well you could do proportions... I think..... Its been awhile. \[\frac{ 45ft }{ 58ft }=\frac{ x }{ 100% }\]So cross multiply 4500= 58x Divide by 58 to get the percent 'right' x = 77.58% Since this is percent right and not error Just minus by 100% 100% - 77.58% = 22.4% error
