so what should i do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take the number of balls total, ( 2 + 3 + 1 + 8 + 7) = 21, and divide the total number of straws you are trying to find the probability of pulling out, and divide that number by 21. So for example if you wanted to find the probability of pulling out a red straw from the bag of 21 straws you would do (2/21) this gives you a decimal of .095, which by multiplying by 100 ( in order to give you a percentage ) will be 9.5%.
