The leaders of the Valentines (V) and Halloween (H) parties go for a bicycle ride They travel due north on a country road at constant speeds: Vv= 2.00 m/s and Vh = 8.00 m/s. (The Halloweens are catching up with the Valentines). Their paths are parallel and separated by 1.5 m. At a given instant when H is 2.0 m behind V. H throws a booklet due west relative to herself. The speed of the booklet is such that V catches it without having to reach out for it. Neglecting any effects of gravity or wind resistance, find the horizontal speed in m/s of the booklet relative to earth.
