What is the domain of f(x) = log(x) + 7? & What is the domain of f(x) = log(x + 1) + 4?

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

The domain of the first function will be all positive real numbers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You cannot take the log of zero, so the domain for the first one would be (-infin, 0), (0, infin), and the second one would be (-infin, -1), (-1, infin).

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

@dukeotherwise you included negative infinity in the domain of the first function, but you can't take the log of negative numbers.
