I think it's the third one. : The comparison between the “small leaf,” “blowing away,” and “brittle” shows that “brittle means easily...." Because the other two comparisons, don't go much with the meaning in the quote. it makes more sense when it's being compared to a small leaf, or blown away. Hope I helped..!
