find the first and second derivative y=((x+3)(x^2-3x+9))/(x^3) Am I doing the beginning correctly: ((x+3)(x-3)+(x^2-3x+9)(1))/(x^6) (2x^2-3x)/(x^3)

Wow! If you are trying to do the the hardest way possible, that's not TOO bad. You did wander off quite a bit. Why not first expand the numerator and then use algebra and the denominator to make your life simpler?
