vectors

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if u,v, and w are unit vectors then (u . v) . w = u . (v.w) dot is dot product

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dot product gives the similarity of directon of two vectors |dw:1380469246996:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the dot product of the orange one up and the black one would be zero, because they share no x- or y- magnitude

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does a dot product return a direction? if it just returns a scalar how can you take the dot product of a vector and scalar??

OpenStudy (loser66):

I am not with you then. I am sorry, (u.v) = scalar , and then, you cannot take dot product between a scalar and a vector like what you said. if you say (u.v) time * w, then you are right
