Being from the Moor, a place where humans don't live, implies that Grendel is a monster. God's anger refers to an uncontrolled rage, another sign of a monster. He "intended to entrap and make away with some one of the earthmen" means he intended to kidnap one or some of the men from the hall, most likely to eat them (another sign of a monster).
