How do I know how to solve this question either by substitution or elimination 0.4m + 1.8n = 8 and 1.2m + 3.4n = 16? Help me please and explain

I would use elimination just because substitution is so time-consuming and there would be too much fractions going on.

Elimination is usually the easiest route to go but when you see one variable all by itself, then substitution would be easy.
