Implicit Differentiation Help! ):

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Generally, it expedites things if you actually present a problem and demonstrate your efforts.

Pulling up the problem as we speak!

What i dont understand is how they got 9 in the numerator for the final answer! @tkhunny

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Hmmm... You actually didn't quite take a big enough picture. What was the original equation? I'm going to hazard a guess and say it was 4x^2 - 2y^2 = 9?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im sorry about that! But you are correct that is the original :)

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

How did I know that? 2y^2 - 4x^2 = -9 and your numerator is explained.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:O OMG it makes sense! Your amazing! would you be able to help me with a similar problem? @tkhunny

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

We prefer one problem per thread. Feel free to post on a new thread and ping me if you like.
