George is building a log cabin in the woods. He would like to have a cable television, but the nearest cable connection pole is 8 miles down the road and his cabin in one mile from the road. At which point along the road should the cable company connect the line to minimize the cost? It cost $75/mi to run the cable along the road and $125/mi to run the cable away from the road.
