How do environmental processes (glaciations, weathering, etc.) and physical characteristics (mountains, rivers, etc.) influence human settlement and activity? Be sure to include an example of each.

physical characteristics : mountain, rivers people move near mountains and rivers they love boundary zones mountains beget streams/rivers rivers provide both food and fresh water as well as occasional transport glaciation : glaciers grind the hell out of the earth, but the tracts of land they pass over are brilliantly fertile because of it, so once they melt, BAM, people move in and start to grow anything and everything fertile land supports more people = towns = trade = cities
