I am trying to do a lesson for school and I am going crazy because I cant figure out how my teacher came up with the answer. Diversity index. number of runs to plants surveyed 6 runs 9 plants surveyed 6/9=0.67?????.I completed this three times and got 5/9 and 7/9 how do I come up with the percentage ? or what ever it is 0.??

When you do this on a calculator you 0.66666666666666667 which simplified is 0.67

You aren't multiplying anything, the "/" sign means to divide. so you divide 6 by 9 and you get 0.67
