Subtraction Property Of Equality If y =3 and 8x + y = 12 then _________ A. 8(3) -y=12 B.3-y=12 C.8x+3=12 D.8x-3=12 i know how to do this but this question really throws me off :/

just sub in 3 for y and what do you get ?

um, 24 + 3 = 12 ?

do not multiply...just sub in 3 in place of y. Do nothing to the other numbers
