Combine using elimination method help please? What is x, and if substituting value of x into either equation to solve for y, what are the coordinates of the point of intersection of the two lines? 10x+4y=24 & -6x-4y=8. Any help is much appreciated! (:

hero (hero):

10x + 4y = 24 -6x - 4y = 8 Combine both equations together eliminating variable y: 4x = 32 Now solve for x. Afterwards you'll be able to find y.

Thank you! Any idea of what graphing it should look like? Maybe not exact, but close enough to help me?
