OpenStudy (highschoolmom2010):

\[x= 24\sqrt 3 :y=8\] \[x=8: y= 24 \sqrt3\] \[x=24:y=8 \sqrt 3 \] \[x=8\sqrt 3 :y=24\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We know that it is a 30, 60, 90 degree triangle. Triangles of this form always have sides equal to 1 (which is opposite 30 degrees), √3 (which is always opposite 60 degrees) and 2 which is the hypotenuse. Therefore, the triangle needs to have a ratio similar to this. x= 8√3 and y=24

Attached is a blurb on the 30-60-90 theorem which may be of help. @highschoolmom2010

OpenStudy (highschoolmom2010):
