Im super stumped on this question! any help? Consider the function. f (x) = 1/2x +1 a. Find the inverse of f(x) and name it g(x). Show and explain your work. b. Use function composition to show that f(x) and g(x) are inverses of each other. c. Draw the graphs of f(x) and g(x) on the same coordinate plane. Explain how your graph shows that the functions are inverses of each other.
Stumped on all of it oris there something specific?
ALL of it! :(
Do you know how you would try to find an inverse? Like the procedure?
No i was kinda hoping someone would help me with that and kinda show me. That way i can answer questions like these when they come up.
Well, first off we have to recognize that f(x) is the same thing as y. So we can say its y = 1/2x + 1 Now is that supposed to be |dw:1380635454536:dw| the equation editor is messing up for me so had to draw it.
