I really am struggling with this lol Which of the following could the lengths of the sides of the triangle? A. 33cm, 16cm, 17cm B. 41cm, 21cm, 18cm C. 27cm, 19cm, 16cm D. 43cm, 23cm, 19cm

OpenStudy (phi):

pick out the longest side. then see if the other two sides add up to a bigger number than the longest side

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Here's a nice system... for each choice, single out the largest side, and call it c. As for the other two, call them a and b. They could form a triangle if this strict inequality holds: |a-b| < c < a+b

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Actually, never mind, by definition, |a-b| < c :)

C?

OpenStudy (phi):

yes

Alright thanks :D
