6. Explain how breast-cancer genes are still present in the population, despite cancer-related surgeries and deaths.

Well breast-cancer genes are still passed down through family blood lines. Like a mother may not have breast cancer herself, but her child may end up getting it because maybe the mother's mom or grandma or someone else in her family had it, so the gene can get carried down the line I guess. Im not sure if that is what yo need, but that is my guess.
