I'm stuck on this question: Name two ways that the federal government tried to regulate business in the late 1800s. Do you think these regulation achieved their goals? Explain your answer.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

The gov created child-labor laws And made the number of work hours per day higher

Do you know why they did this? What their goals for it were?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

child-labor laws- this way the employers such as factory owners can have work done for less$. To have more work. (The combined goal, which was reached by the Gov in 1800 is to get a lot of work for a really low price!)
