If you want to increase your income next year by $1000, how many additional hours will you have t o work per month if you make $7 per hour?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

$1000 / $7 ? "10"00 : 7 = 3 07 ---v 030

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"10"00 : 7 = 34 07 ---- 030 028 ---v 20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1000 : 7 = 34"2" 07 ---- 030 028 ----- "20" >14 ---- 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

342 rest 6 so 342 hours and 6/7 hours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

343 hours....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because I did type a "3" there (why???)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in long division first how often 7 in 10 I type 3!! of course it should be 1.... $10|00 / $7 ? "10"00 : 7 = 1!! 07 --- 03

OpenStudy (anonymous):

real answer not 343 hours but 143 hours....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have to work 143 hours at $7 to get $1000 additional income.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you, do you mind if I ask one more question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ask

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you are paid $9.00 per hour and work 35 hours per week what is your annual gross income (assume all vacations weeks are paid)? ' so first do I multiply 9 x 35 then multiply that by however many weeks are in a year?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, looks good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, okay, thank you so much :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem ;)
