physics problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A ball is thrown horizontally from the top of a 20-m high hill. It strikes the ground at an angle of 60◦ . With what speed was it thrown?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm. if it would strike at almost 90°, that would indicate it just fell down. also, if it was shot by a gun it would still have lots of velocity that is greater than the gravity when it touches the ground.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm ok. Any idea how to solve it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

theoretically, the push horizontally does not change the time it takes for the ball to fall down

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right. so it should take around 2 seconds right?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

please post this in the physics section, thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. sorry.
