OpenStudy (anonymous):

how many protons and electrons would the element sulfur have with a -2 charge

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the number of protons doesn't change, so its atomic number is 16 (meaning that it has 16 protons). with a -2 charge, that means it has 2 more electrons than protons, and 16 + 2 = 18 electrons (this is a chem question)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Good answer, it deserves a medal, but this is a wrong section, this is mathematics!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree this is the wrong section, hence my telling you that.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I don't understand what "hence my telling you that" means

OpenStudy (anonymous):

means "that's why I said that" (that's why i said that "this is a chem question")
