I have to ask because I was told that the only stupid question was the one you don't ask. I am having in issue using the word "Wasn't" Allow me to post the example of what I have. If anyone can help me with this dilemma hopefully before 12pm in New Jersey, USA “You were the reason Seth had to leave me weren’t you?!!! I remember when we met in the pub, I remember you pulling away from me because something felt wrong! It was you! Wasn’t it?!!! > Is there an exception to the rule here? I'm uncertain on how to revise it. Help???!!! S.O.S
The tag question you posted seems good to me. Because in the last sentence there is "was" as the auxiliary verb and you is the pronoun. So, wasn't it is correct.
It's an informal way of phrasing things, but depending on the context, it could be appropriate
i think its correct...except where are the commas?
youre writing a story?
Thank all so much for getting back to me. @ Roku - Yes I am writing a story, actually a book series.
Roku what did you mean when you asked, "where are the comma's"
i am accusted to seeing commas before tag questions.
