PLZ help asap medal will b awarded .a pharmacy claims that the average medication cost $32 but it could differ as much as $8. write an solve and absolute value inequality to determine the range of medication cost at this pharmacy.
what part of this are you having trouble with?
making the inequality
start with 32 in the middle, then add/subtract 8 from it
24 <= 32 <= 40 this is the range, but working out the absolute value for it ... hmmm
oh
lets subtract 32 from everything now -8 <= 0 <= 8 ; and let x be the center -8 <= x <= 8 we want an equation that has the solution x = |8|
oh ok hold on let me see
if i give you the choices do u think u would better understand it
well, if we dont have to build it, then sure :)
x-32 > or equal to 8; the medication cost range from $24 to $40
thats one
-8 <= x-32 <= 8 |x-32| <= 8
x-32> or equal to 8; the medications cost less than$24 or greater than $40. x-32<or equal to 8; the medication cost range from $24 to $40 x-32<or equal to 8;the medications cost less than $24 or greater than $40
which one would you pick from the information provided in this post?
i dont know
prob c or d
are these c or d? c x-32<or equal to 8; the medication cost range from $24 to $40 d x-32<or equal to 8;the medications cost less than $24 or greater than $40
c?
only one of them includes 32 as a price; and that would be c yes
oh ok thank u
good luck :) i gotta head to class now
