They worshiped many many gods pictured them as human beings. The men usually ran the government and the ladies spent their time at home (cooking, cleaning, and raising children) Those were the ladies of Athens but the ladies of Spartans had jobs and most of them lead their house, they were typical leaders and were in charge of almost everything because their husbands used to go to war and fight while they got their keys to control until they get back. Even though most of them couldn't make it back. The men who weren't in politics were usually farmers and spent most of their time in parties drinking so do those who were in politics. There's a lot of city-states in Greece and most of their's tradition were slightly or hugely different from one another so i'll suggest u to do some research on them.

The Jury system generally had 501 members
They had a practice where when a male child was 7 he was assigned to a man over 30 to be taught the way of the world and as a sex object. At 18 he joined the military, practicing homosexuality, until 30 and then joined civilian life married and had children.

There's and internet site called "the teaching company" might of changed to "the great courses" that supply's a great number of courses on ancient Greece. I usually purchased them when there on sale, there's much about ancient Greece people don't know.
