Let g(x) be the reflection of f(x) = 3x + 2 in the x-axis. What is a function rule for g(x)? g(x) = 3x – 2 g(x) = –3x – 2 g(x) = 3x + 2 g(x) = –3x + 2

please explain this to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

reflect around the \(x\) axis, means what is up does down and what is down goes up i.e. everything is the negative of what it was before you can first write \[g(x)=-(3x+2)\] and then distribute the minus sign to get your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-3x-2 So B g(x) = –3x – 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is what i get, yes would you like to see a picture of it?
