In APA style citations, when I'm citing an article from an edited anthology, i.e. In his article, Smith says . . . " and I need to include the date, do I include the date of the anthology's publication (2012), or the date of the article's original publication (1945)?

that's a tough question, but you want to record that date of publication where you got it from, or 'the last edited date' check out this website for more help if you need it. https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/
