independent variable is that variable which does not change even if other things r changed....for eg time vs age. here ur age increases according to time....time does not change according to age...u getting me?

I thought it was independent :) yes, I understand. Thank you for the explanation. I have recently started this Marine Science class and it has been quite some time since my last Science class so I'm having a slight bit of trouble remembering the little things like this.
