Bah one question at a time.... I'll help with the first and it should help you with the other 2. n= the first number in a consecutive pair. what is a consecutive pair? 2 numbers right next to eachother on the number line. 100 and 101, 8 and 9, etc. So how do you get the second number? it must be n+1... right? So now if you add the number and its pair, you have n+n+1=(Whatever your assignment says) n+n is the same thing as what? n times 2 or 2n
