Please Help!!

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Divide each side by 5! (in the 1st problem)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Do you see the solution now?

OpenStudy (zpupster):

|9| this is the absolute value sign, which is the distance from zero |-9| = 9 does that help?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

zpupster don't just give the answer, please! make him/her think!

OpenStudy (zpupster):

sorry i did not see your answer before i posted

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

In number 2, multiply each side by 6 I think you can do it from there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you guys give me and example of how to solve an absolute value equation please

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

10|x| = 70 divide each side by 10 |x|=7 so either 7 or -7

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Can you solve your question now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's very helpful Thank You!

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

|x|=a to solve for x you would do x=a and x=-a so for absolute value you will get always two answers

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Do you know how to solve your second question, OR need help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I'll be able to figure it out :)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I need to help s/o else out, I'll be back! OK?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok :)
