(I have the variable of "x", which is 14. I also have the measure of both of the x angles {50*} But I can't find the value of "y", but I do know that it's measure is 130*.

so are u trying to say that the total of all the equations is 130?

e.g. 5x+4y=130 ?

Yes:-) Because 3x+8 and 5x+4y would equal 180*, and I know that 3x+8 is =to 50*. So I just subtracted 50* from 180* and got 130*, but I still can't figure out the value of "y"

ok so we should do factoring. 

so lets do 5x+4y=130 (lets say)
now we need to find the value of y so we will exclude the value of x.
