OpenStudy (tester97):

solve the system by substitution

OpenStudy (tester97):

\[\left\{- 4.5x-2y=-12.5 \right\} \left\{ 3.25-y=0.75 \right\}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make y by itself in the second equation then plug it in into the first one

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

Hi, r u sure about this one 3.25 - y = 0.75 ? i mean doesn't it have a "x" term ?

OpenStudy (tester97):

oh yea its \[\left\{ -4.5x-2y=-12.5 \right\} \left\{ 3.25x-y=0.75 \right\}\]

OpenStudy (tester97):

@***[ISURU]***

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

so... let's name -4.5x - 2y = -12.5 -----(1) 3.25x -y = 0.75 -----(2) now multiply (1) by 10... Wt will u get ?
