Can someone help me with this trigonometry problem and please provide steps, I have no clue how to do this: Assume that θ is an acute angle in a right triangle satisfying the given conditions. Evaluate the indicated trigonometric function. sin θ = 6/7 ; cos θ

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

To find cos θ. We know that cos is Adjacent/Hypotenuse, but we don't the the length of the adjacent side. To find the adjacent side we use the Pythagorean theorem, and I find that side to be 3.6. So cos θ is 3.6/7.
